It more than doubles the performance of its predecessor Opus 4.8 at lower cost, with significant improvements in software engineering, scientific research, computer use, and agentic tasks. It becomes the new default model on Claude Max and the strongest model on Claude Pro.

Midjourney V8.2 focuses on aesthetics and image quality improvements, making images more creative, bold, sophisticated, edgy, and fresh. Random low-quality image generation has been dramatically reduced. Personalization has been significantly improved to better understand individual user taste, with a larger and improved pool of images for creating personalization profiles.
